SSCA makes no specific breeder recommendations. This page does not include a listing of all Sheltie breeders, nor does being included on this list constitute a recommendation over a breeder not on this list. We do try to assure the breeders we list are reputable. Prospective Sheltie owners must make their own decisions based upon their own situation, breeder relationship, and evaluation of breeder reputability. Where possible, we have included information which may assist in evaluating breeder quality.

Some breeders have litters on a regular basis, some infrequently. Those listed here typically breed for specific purposes in furtherance of the Shetland Sheepdog. Not all puppies will be suitable for the conformation ring or top-level performance careers, resulting in occasional pet quality puppies who will make wonderful additions to families.
